2025 Monster Mash

A sequel to Aqualung’s 2021 Monster Mash, this event’s all about making cool new monsters for Delta Green.

  • Sexually Transmitted Werewolves by Tairbaz - Unnatural tumorous infection, transforming Agents over the four stages.
  • Mr. Deeds by Fee Fi Fo Fin - A cybernetic abomination wrought by the malicious Shan.
  • Spawn of the Daughter by Erwin_the_German - An organoid parasite that bursts out of a recently deceased corpse. It's eager to find a new host.

  • Lethal Pursuer by Kribry - March Tech Mi-Go terminator.
  • Mantegiosa by Emil Meriranta - A half-soundwave half-humanoid-mantis race brought forward by the Serpent People as old as Pangea.

Rules

  • Deadline. Monsters are due by Sunday, October 26th at 11:59pm EDT (UTC-4).
    • You can submit as many monsters as you want.
  • No AI. I want to see what you come up with, not what a chatbot or image generator spits out.
  • Originality. Your submitted monster must be entirely of your own design.
    • You can take inspiration from existing monsters, but you can’t just convert them.
  • Features. Your submission must include:
    • Description of the monster (eg. physiology, goals, behavior, history).
    • Stats for the monster (for D100 DG or Fall of Delta Green).
    • (optional) Scenario hooks, suggestions for how Handlers use the monster in-game, and anything else you think would be useful.
  • Fairfield. All submitted monsters will be uploaded to the Fairfield Project.

How to Submit

Email your monsters to Sammy J at @ EMAIL REDACTED.

  • Subject: [Monster name(s)]
  • Body:
    • Link to the monster
    • A teaser/one-sentence summary of the monster
    • How you want to be credited

Advice

  • Start with an evocative, central idea.
    • Take your real-life fears and anxieties, then compress and warp them into a physical entity.
      • If you’re struggling: think about something in your life you depend on (electricity). Then imagine a monster that corrupts or takes that away (like a monster that nullifies all voltages) and its consequences/manifestations (the electrical impulses in your brain stop firing).
    • Alternatively, combine bits from two or three other monsters/creatures together and try to make it cohesive (or scarily incohesive).
    • Alternatively-alternatively: roll for monsters from FIST: Ultra Edition, Silent Legions, or The Metamorphica.
  • Make sure the monster does something cool.
    • Give its abilities and attacks side-effects. An attack doesn’t just deal damage, it also turns the ribs in an Agent into taffy, or dissolves the floor the Agents stand on.
    • The monster should “break” 1-3 rules of Delta Green. Enough to be scary, but not enough to overwhelm a Handler.
  • Keep the monster simple, straightforward.
    • Simpler monsters are easier to deploy and run in-game.
    • Give it only a few powers, each only a sentence or two long.
    • Avoid making another Lloigor.
