Charles Fort
"All phenomena are approximations one way or the other between realness and unrealness."
-Charles Fort (1874-1932)
Charles Fort was a man who believed in nothing. He was a skeptic to science and religion alike. He is best remembered for his voluminous collections of strange events that seemed to fall outside the scientific understanding of his times, which he published in four books, Book of the Damned (1919), New Lands (1923), Lo! (1931) and Wild Talents (1932). Many of the phenomena he wrote about are still unexplainable today.
