Interpol
The International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO), widely known as Interpol, is an intergovernmental organization facilitating international police cooperation. It was established as the International Criminal Police Commission (ICPC) in 1923 and adopted its telegraphic address as its common name in 1956.
Europol (short for European Police Office), handles criminal intelligence. Its full activities began on 1 July 1999, long after its establishment was agreed to in the 1992 Maastricht Treaty. There was some resistance to the idea of an international law enforcement agency in Europe, so at the time when Delta Green was written, Europol dealt only with narcotics.
