Isolate the FUCKMAGE
Content Notes
This character-driven improv-heavy scenario is about coerced sex; in other words, a form of sexual assault. For more on why I wrote this, please see We Are All Survivors…and This Zine Is About Rape.
Brief
A local rape crisis hotline has received several calls about a man calling himself the FUCKMAGE in a mid-sized city near the agents’ current location. Survivors do not remember his real name, only his empty eyes, the drinks he bought them, and the dehumanization he put them through. He also used terms such as “Realizers” and “Living Power”, which auto-alerted Delta Green. The agents’ case officer picked up the reports and passed it on to them, along with some background information on orgone.
Since its identification by Wilhelm Reich, Delta Green agents have noted orgone energy’s flirtation with the Unnatural. This massless substance collects around the human body and releases fully only during orgasm and is said to control weather, prevent “neuroses”, inspire works of art, and draw other people closer. Released orgone, if it exists as identified, is an ephemeral, attractive force that may rarely be trapped in high-silica accumulative crystals.
Cults of the Black Goat chase metaphorical fountains of orgone. In 1990, the Enolsis Foundation attempted, like many others, to capture it and control it using “Realizer” crystals provided by Unnatural creatures. More recently, in the wake of international upheaval, orgone is experiencing a resurgence as a healing and protective modality among “crunchy” types. Many pose no real threat to the well-being of the Natural (though some argue antivaxxers and other such groups constitute a similar existential issue) but some do. Sexual assault, forced drugging, dancing mania, and other methods to attempt orgone capture are not unheard of.
Assess the situation, isolate the so-called FUCKMAGE, re-assess, and call for backup as necessary.
The Survivors
The following people were assaulted by the entity calling himself the FUCKMAGE and have agreed to interviews with the agents. They will need to be handled with great care.
- Tessa James: “It’s so embarrassing how fucking textbook all of this is, and how it works every time. He told me I was different from every girl I’d ever met. We talked about shared hobbies. He talked about starting again after a divorce. I went back to his apartment after our first date. I would have been fine with kissing — but he had, like, this … mantra? I don’t know. “Realize you want to fuck me,” he said, not blinking. “Realize me.” He wouldn’t stop saying that. Wherever I moved, he pinned me. I gave in to stop whatever the fuck was happening. He called me an Uber afterwards, then kept me on the phone for two hours, crying about how I didn’t really love him, how I was like all the rest.” Cis woman, mid-30s, history of psychiatric incarceration and recreational drug use. Encountered the FUCKMAGE on a dating app, went on one date with him. Easily flustered and self-effacing.
- Alisha Smith: “I loved his posts. He was so great at taking down cringelords. When I found out he was in the same city as me, I jumped at the chance to meet him. I wanted to show him how cool I was IRL. I knew he was older than me — I didn’t think he’d be interested, but I was into it. I felt special. I was the girl who could understand him when ‘that Arbor bitch’ didn’t. Sex with him was always fucking feral, though he kept chanting stuff about Living Power. Then he started getting jealous and telling me what to do. I didn’t even think about getting away until he held my face down and I couldn’t breathe.” Cis woman, early 20s, bisexual, grew up in a staunchly evangelical household and attended a large state school known for its parties. Frequent poster in many of the FUCKMAGE’s online spaces and, for several months, his younger girlfriend. Defiant and impulsive.
- Dallas Riley: “He kept crying and saying maybe it would be better this time, that he was doing it with someone like a man — that he could show he was more flexible, more accepting. He kept demanding things I wasn’t comfortable with — and doing them anyway. Of course he blamed me.” Trans man, early 30s, pansexual, sex worker and artist. The FUCKMAGE bought a great deal of his content, then solicited Dallas for a “visit”; records show multiple calls to the survivor’s number afterwards. Dallas knows that the FUCKMAGE was “exploring” after divorcing a woman named Hannah. Jaded and open.
Hannah Arbor
“Orgone erupts in the joyful, freely-given yes. He was more interested in “getting his”, so I left.”
The antagonist of this scenario was trained, in a sense, by his former wife, Hannah. She regularly practiced various forms of “New Agey” occultism — at least until the birth of her twins. Treat Hannah as though she has a 2% in Unnatural (see below).
Searching divorce records with Bureaucracy find that Hannah was granted a default divorce after her now-ex refused to cooperate with proceedings. Hannah accused him of postpartum “indignities”, making the marriage intolerable. Asking Hannah (HUMINT) or searching the divorce files further (Forensic) reveals that he attempted to brute-force his way into the same power after he realized she was able to release orgone during sex with him. Custody of the children was given to Hannah; they were renting an apartment at the time, there was no house to split.
Now going by her maiden name, Hannah Arbor, she lives in the biggest city in the region with her twin toddlers and her sister and will reluctantly talk to the agents if they contact her. If the agents are kind and show a willingness to help, she lets them read her journals. If not, she refuses to cooperate further.
Agents can glean the following information from her writing with Anthropology or Occult:
- For the purposes of this scenario: orgone energy can only be found and used when all involved are present a) not under duress, b) not under the influence, and c) not asleep, dissociated, or otherwise emotionally uninvolved. These three “gates” make harvesting orgone energy an uncertain process at best. Orgone is not a moral force! Human sexuality is complicated! Attempting to turn it into a vending machine is to everyone’s detriment! Hannah used to find great joy in sex as play — she’s hoping to find it again.
- Hannah turned to shadow, dream, and orgone work after an emotionally abusive childhood. She met the FUCKMAGE (whose name and current residence she knows) during her second year of grad school; someone who showered her with love and gifts and attention for the first time in her life. They were married within a year of meeting. She dropped out to get pregnant, then to do all the chores around the house, finally ending up as his pincushion for orgone “experiments”.
- Hannah’s journals show a marked increase in vivid dreams of interstellar travel and noneuclidean “jewel-like” vistas after instances of orgone release. She also notes that meditating on her accumulation crystals (smoky quartz) brings feelings of connection and solace with “other minds” — feelings she hoarded jealously as the FUCKMAGE crushed her world into a singularity: what he felt he was owed and deserved.
The FUCKMAGE
"Sadly time and attention from a woman is always a zero sum game and I always come last. I satisfy myself with what I get. A taste of things, a sample of the perfect product, except when I get to the shelves all of it is sold out."
His handle on Fetlife, Reddit, TheMotte, etc. is TheFUCKMAGE. He is a regular poster and has accrued a great deal of karma.
The FUCKMAGE is someone the player characters pass on the street everyday. His name might be Chris, or Matt, or Tyler, or Zach — something that wouldn’t stand out. He is a son, a brother, a (divorced) father, someone’s drinking buddy and/or teammate. He is thoroughly average. He has one failed marriage, two kids living with his ex, and a whole world to explore.
He actively seeks out vulnerable people of all genders and bodily configurations in his search for orgone; if they feel beholden to him, it’s that much easier to push them to follow his psychosexual script of recognition and realization. He owns a copy of Inner Science, as well as pirated PDF scans of old Enolsis Foundation books on relationships, self-actualization, and the law of attraction.

Conclusion
The brief orders the agents to isolate the FUCKMAGE, then reassess the situation. It does not specify how. In actuality FUCKMAGE’s damage is primarily Natural — he fails at orgone release and is basically a normal guy — but widespread; he may have already drawn the attention of something Unnatural (Handler’s discretion).
The brief does not specify what to do with Hannah Arbor or the other survivors. Agents may use their own discretion.

Failed Sex Mage: His motivations revolve around fucking people both to harvest orgone consistently and to prove to himself that he can. He cannot harvest orgone; he only views other people as means to that end and as affirmations of his own masculinity. He does, however, have an Unnatural score of 1%.
Emotional Black Hole: Can increase his SAN pool by talking about his own woes to a captive (emotionally or physically) audience, even if they have no training in Psychotherapy.
