Lovebitten
The Brief:
- February 23rd 1987 during the Sophomore and Freshman Prom of Carnegie High School in Walein Springs an event transpired ending in the disappearances of over 200 students, teachers and the school. In its place three standing stones remain.
- The Tragedy has been stubbed before becoming national news.
- The survivors willing to talk claim “Vampires” and a “Monster made of blood” are responsible.
- The Agents must neutralise any threats and cover up anything Unnatural.
Walein Springs:
Walein Springs, an unnoteworthy old mining town is undergoing a renaissance as affluent migration from nearby cities takes place. The population has tripled in two years. Burdened with legends of witchcraft, rituals and the occult. Any investigation discovers a plethora of books on Ley-line focal points, missing children and worse.
What Remains:
Carnegie High School is gone. Ankle-high grass, wild flowers and a trio of seven foot blood leaking standing stones is all that remains. Strict police cordons keep locals far away.
- DNA from the stones match every missing individual.
- Ten 9th and Twenty-eight 10th grade Students, two Teachers, three Senior Chaperones survived. Around 210 people are missing.
Interviews:
- Local police are in disarray about what to do with only a small force in town, most are busy keeping townies away. Glad for any federal assistance.
- The police dispatcher received what she first thought was a prank from the Schools Ham Radio Club. It was actually student Jaya Ching requesting help.
- The first police car to arrive sits just outside the campus covered in blood. The officers are missing.
- Survivors explain that every car was destroyed, engine blocks punched through and tires torn off.
- Gunshots were heard in the area, but being a rural town nothing was thought of it.
- Teens name numerous classmates that degenerated into ravenous monsters. Some even gained the ability to fly.
- Some claim the “Six” were fighting back and killing monsters. If it wasn't for them, they wouldn't have made it.
- A Friendly made it to the scene first to find the school grounds entirely made of flesh, sinew and blood. The grass and flowers are new. He'd been in the nearby woods tracking a cryptid.
- Charles Barnaby mentions Freddy White and Jessica Dixon. A pair of popular kids that left with one of the Vampires. The Victorian Lady.
- The Joint Prom was supposed to raise the spirits of the school after last year's tragedy. The Sawyer House Fire.
The Sawyer House Six:
Halloween 1986, allegedly eleven teens entered the abandoned Sawyer House on a dare unaware that a record storm was forecast. By morning the House collapses into a burning wreck. With only six injured survivors. After interviews a Friendly was left to run surveillance. Despite five official fatalities, no bodies were recovered.
Rex Reyes, Sally Berger, Fred Brooks, Haley Lee, Gene Garfield and Morrigan Weaver are the Sawyer House Six.
Carnegie High School:
Rundown until an unknown benefactor refurbished much of the school. Increasing regional attendance by opening a new Gymnasium, Indoor Swimming pool, Science building and improved Security.
THE SCHOOL RETURNS AT SUNRISE 25TH
The school appears normal, but exploration discovers prom outfits discard all-around the campus. The signs of slaughter are evident. Broken windows, smashed furniture, bullet holes, burnt patches and explosion craters.
The focal point of the carnage is around the pool facility, heaps of abandoned clothing surrounds the building. Every portion of the interior is bloodstained and the pool itself unnaturally glows crimson. (1/D6)
A old Swordcane can be found in the grass outside, the design dates back to the 1500s.
A cobbled together pistol-like “firearm” can be found in the swimming pool. It is a combination of a Camera and various unnatural materials, seemingly using an oddy pulsing form of fulgurite as a power source.
The Tape:
A damaged security tape can be found, much of the recording is scrambled but a few events can be witnessed.
Hour 1
- Students arrive, the party begins. Fast moving figures pass the exterior cameras.
- The ninth and tenth graders are divided between the school's two gymnasiums, an old barn and a new building.
- Four figures are recorded stalking children around the school.
- Sally and Haley are seen galavanting as the party continues, the figures target secluded children. The pair fail to spot a child being plucked into the sky.
Hour 2
- A Lady in a Victorian dress can be seen conversing with Rex, Matteo Reyes and a handful of other teens.
- A ragged figure and crazed students with glowing eyes attack both Gymnasiums. Brutally killing and turning others crazy through bites.
- Jaya Ching and two boys fight their way out.
- The crazed teens are reduced to ash when stabbed in the heart.
- Carnage engulfs the grounds and children attempt to flee. Most are picked off.
- Rex is seen shooting the “Firearm” at a “vampire”, a strange beam of pale purple electricity kills it. The Agents can see the faces of the damned in the energy, anguished voices calling for a saviour fill their minds. (1/D10)
Hour 3
- Haley summons a flock of crows to scout and later a swarm of Spiders to open a door.(1/D6)
- Rex and Fred kill the Ragged Vampire in the security room. Fred is bitten.
- Vampire teens are seen leaving with the Victorian Lady.
- A man in a dapper suit and glowing eyes arrives, welding a sword cane and killing crazed students.
- Bodies are dragged to the swimming pool and thrown in. Something is happening there.
- A large number of students are Vampires as many others try to hide. A large Bat-Vampire is killed outside the Cafeteria.
Hour 4
- Fred is seen flying around with glowing eyes.
- A ritual is being conducted by a gnarled figure, liquid skeletons dance above the pool filled with blood as more Vampires gather there.
- Survivors can be seen fleeing as a band of teens, led by the Sawyer house six assault the pool.
- The Teens appear to be losing the fight as something stirs inside.
- Crimson Tentacles reach out through the indoor pool’s walls consuming the Vampires around the school.
- A glowing fog rapidly spreads out, eclipsing the children and the school. Reducing the feed to a bright crimson glow.
- The light begins to ebb from the screen. All speakers in the vicinity begin to howl a strange slew of words. Eventually screams from children take up the chant in English.(1/D10)
- “Uvhash, The Blood-Mad God of the Void”
- The equipment playing the tape bursts into flames and then leaks blood.(0/D4)
Four Return:
When the School returns so do survivors, the Handler eventually informs the agents, supplying an envelope containing hand scribbled medical reports and Photos.
- Sally Berger
A series of photos shows the grotesque scene of a naked girl resting on a blood stained hospital bed. Foul discoloured wounds are documented across her body, seemingly self-inflicted and clearly tracing her circulatory system.(D6/D10)
Sally was found within the Florida Everglades by recreational hunters. Over a thousand miles away from where she was last seen. Suffering from a severe blood infection and brain damage from the resulting swelling.
- Edward Shelby
More pictures reveal a young man, Edward otherwise unharmed staring blankly. He was found in Oklahoma, another significant distance from his last location.
The medical report reveals Edward has lost the ability to speak, his tongue is missing along with significant damage to his vocal cords. Examination reveals only healed scar tissue. Through nonsensical sign language Edward tries to communicate.(0/1)
- Fred Brooks
Photos show a dazed and sunburnt Fred posing with the peace sign on a arrid highway outside of Marfa, Texas. Wearing a dirt and blood stained suit, two college age motorists pose on either side. In one of the pictures the underage teen can be seen drinking a beer. Despite being unharmed, shock has rendered him unable to communicate.
- Jaya Ching Yu-Jun
Photos show Jaya standing beside a hiking trail in Yosemite National Park. Found covered in blood wandering around in her prom dress beaten half to death. Armed with a 38. special and babbling about god blood and Smilein Springs. The medical record covers extensive fractures and deep lacerations on her legs and arms.
