An avatar of Sweet Shub has gotten into VTubing and plays cozy games. «<She’s amassed a cult of over 18 million subscribers from all corners of the globe, and they welcome new followers all the time. She brings in a great deal of money for Twitch, as her followers are very generous, and her visibility ranking is third on the entire platform.
The aesthetic details of her VTuber appearance are up to the Handler, but she always has horns. She refers to her followers as her “Younglings” and always seems to have time to talk kindly and affirmingly to anyone in her chat.
»>How was the avatar discovered?_
Friendlies from Phenonmen-x.com, perhaps even one with a Bond to an Agent or their «< Case Officer, have kept their eyes on her. They’re certain she’s something Other, especially with a recent stream glitch.
»>What was the glitch?
The VTubing avatar dropped for 1.7 seconds in total, enough to blow the Twitch servers in Sao Paolo, Narita, and Ashburn for a solid 18 hours. Phenomen-x members tracking social media posts and police scanners noticed an uptick in internet psychosis and welfare checks called in during this time. Attempts to clip the glitch or watch it on VOD all cause a BSOD. Members of Phenomen-x who are in contact with DG agents have forwarded everything they know.«<

Doing damage to the avatar deals the same amount of damage to a random subscriber, «< including damage with a Lethality rating. Plus, you have to find her (or the pieces of her) first.

Immediate mitigation, containment if possible. While the avatar will have to be dealt with, the first priority is getting her off of people’s screens, breaking apart any forming cults, and preventing another glitch. «<

Find her IP address or addresses. Sweet Shub has to use human tech to do this. «<
Weaponize the “dead internet theory” and reroute her Twitch connection to a mirrored botnet so she’s effectively streaming into a Potemkin village closed loop. «<
Cancel her on social media. Make vague accusations worded to tap straight into users’ disgust and fear responses. Submit her to ritual digital disposability. Folks love to consume and destroy their parasocial relationships, especially if it turns out that their comfort streamer is a literal monster. «<
Requisition vague grants for smaller, provably human streamers to drive traffic to them. «<
Continue cultivating Phenomen-x contacts to catch something similar before it gets this big again. «<
Get creative, get weird, and make sure the efforts focus on keeping her mitigated and contained. That’s priority. «<
